Maverik Dean’s First Birthday Party!
A Wild One!
I originally bought about 50 balloons but by the time I got home, we only had like 20 left.
I wanted the room to be completely filled with green & gold balloons but this is all I had left.
Of course, I had to get the “1” balloon and the “wild one” balloons for the party!
DO NOT try to squeeze 50 balloons in a Crysler 300, it won’t work!
I got these adorable greenery leaves to hang on the back of the wall for decoration.
The food table is always my favorite table!
The party was at 2 pm.
I did this on purpose because I didn’t want to supply lunch, I only wanted to supply a snack/dessert.
I made smores on a stick and stuck them in a styrofoam circle.
Chocolate dipped strawberries and blueberries.
Hershey kisses. The “wood” looking bowl is actually a plant pot, I just cleaned it out and used it for the kisses.
White Chocolate Raspberry Cupcakes and I made gold crowns to go on top as a decoration!
The punch was just sherbert ice cream and sprite. Super easy and still delicious!
I wanted it to look like “swamp water”
You can see under the food I got wood pellets, it was an easy decoration.
The wall was a lot of fun!
At the very top, I found printable A Wild One banners.
I put up the “Happy Birthday” sign, because well every party needs one!
I made the crowns and wrote one in each crown.
My sister is a graphic designer and made me the newborn to the 1-year-old photo.
You are able to see how Maverik has grown into a handsome 1-year-old boy since he was born.
On the far left side, I FINALLY got this board that I see on everyone’s Instagram,
I put Maverik’s name, current weight and length on there for everyone to see.
The left photo (you can’t see) but its Maverik’s hand and foot from when he was first born!
A really cool memory to get with your child!
Just two cute photos of Maverik on the right side.
I had all the presents on the right side of the table right when people walked in.
You can see I had games, party crowns, time capsule, Maverik’s shadow box, and photo books!
Us moms take A LOT of photos when we have children,
even more when we have our very first child!
I printed off every picture I started to make sense I become pregnant.
I also printed off every picture I have ever had of Maverik sense he was born.
So everyone got to see my whole progress since the minute I got pregnant,
and they got to see how he changed into a 1-year-old baby every day since he had been born.
It was a really cool idea I thought.
You can also see the cute gold crowns I have on the right side.
I got those mainly for the children to wear,
but adults being silly adults, they got to enjoy them too!
What would a party be without games?
I was able to find these fun games online for mainly the kids,
but I was also able to find some that would be good for the adults too!
You can see for table decorations I added fake plants, leaves, rocks, and wood chips.
Of course, I love doing memorable stuff for Maverik.
I thought the time capsule would be a really cute idea!
So everyone was able to write a message to Maverik,
and when Maverik turns 18 I will give him a box that will these notes in there.
Of course, everyone wants something cute across the highchair for the cake smash.
Originally I was going to make my own banner but,
I found a GREAT deal online for the “one” banner with the crowns on each side,
along with a cute band to go on Maverik’s head going based off what the little boy wore in the book.
I was really happy to find this deal, I couldn’t resist!
I thought it would be cute to have Maverik paint his FIRST painting for his FIRST birthday!
It was a cute and easy piece of art to do for Maverik’s birthday party.
The cake smash is always the most important thing about the child’s first birthday, so they say.
Maverik didn’t really want to play in his cake.
I had to make him lick the icing first than he started to warm up and taste it himself.
He touched the cake a few times and was just done. (Thank God)
So I then gave him a small bath and we carried on with the party!
I got Maverik and I matching shirts!
His said “Wild One”,
and mine said “Mother of the Wild One!”
As you can see Maverik didn’t really want to wear his crown anymore.
So overall we had the perfect 1st birthday party.
It was a huge success.
Thank you to all of our family and friends that showed up.
Thank you for all the gifts, Maverik loved each one!
I’m already ready to start planning for his 2nd birthday party!
