There’s a lot of factors that need to be taken into account when it comes to your stamina. Did you get a good night’s sleep? Have you eaten well? Are you hydrated? Have you been able to take some breaks today? The list just goes on and on, and it gets harder and harder to ignore the ache in the soles of your feet from standing around all day!
But when it comes to absolutely needing to stay on your feet for a bit longer in order to accomplish all of your tasks for the day, there are a few things you can do or invest in to make sure you’re not going to wake up with broken ankles tomorrow morning. And here’s a couple of those ideas worth your consideration.
Would not recommend going outside barefoot if you suffer from lower body pain…
Do Some Exercises
It might sound like the last thing you want to do when you’re already experiencing aches and pains, but it’s something that’s going to make sure tomorrow cache-free. Exercises help you to stretch and loosen your muscles, so take a quick five or ten minutes right now to do yourself a favor.
Try using a resistance band, or something that can offer equal pressure, and train your legs and feet to get a little bit stronger day by day. And even better, you can do these kind of exercises whilst sitting down! When you’ve got better resistance in your legs, you’re going to tire slower, and you’re going to be able to start striding with your friends who never seem to have any trouble.
If a Chronic Illness is Stopping You
Or even just the symptoms of one are. Chronic illnesses are things people learn to live with, but that doesn’t mean they don’t suffer. So in the attempt to make a little easier for anyone who always has some kind of a pain in their legs and their feet, here’s a little reminder to do your stretches and make sure to sit down whenever you need to. Don’t feel bad if others around you don’t need to!
At the same time, make sure you’re looking into adding new items to your wardrobe to give you more of a permanent solution here. If you’re someone who suffers with effects on your legs because of the illness you suffer from, such as diabetes, you can buy some diabetic socks to protect your nerves in your feet and keep yourself on the go for a lot longer than usual. And products like this exist for almost every long term illness someone could have, so always look into solutions like this.
Being able to stand around for even five or ten minutes longer than usual is a sign of progress, but make sure you never push yourself too hard. Everyone has different stamina levels, and it’s no harm if your is lower than others. It’s just a different way of life, and you can live it.
